Seattle, WA, August 11, 2020, Active Grow, the sustainable horticultural lighting manufacturer, recently had its T5 HO 2FT 4 Lamp Horticultural Fixture in Sun White Spectrum reviewed by Darryl Cheng, the author of The New Plant Parent and owner of the popular blog site houseplantjournal.com. Cheng’s site teaches the basics of responsible plant parenthood and features growing tips, plant education and independent product reviews.
In his latest review, Cheng, who mostly grows ornamental foliage plants, receives some basil, peppers and other potted herbs from a friend to try growing indoors. Worried that his apartment receives too little natural sunlight, Cheng decides to use the Active Grow LED T5 HO 2FT 4 Lamp Horticultural Fixture in Sun White Spectrum to satisfy the “Full Sun” DLI requirements of his new plants.
With some DIY modifications, he converts a bar cart into a mobile grow space and installs the Active Grow fixture. After putting the grow lights to the test, Cheng was pleased with the development of his plants and the overall performance of the fixture: “The Active Grow LED fixture had excellent light output, proving it was capable of growing ‘Full Sun’ herbs and even getting smaller vegetables to fruiting stage. The build quality was excellent – if you were wondering about price difference between grow light fixtures, it’s usually because the materials used for the fixtures are far sturdier and capable of handling the environmental conditions of serious grow spaces – or little grow ops!”
